Who We Are
Messiah Lutheran Church is:
- a church with a long history, celebrating, serving and sharing in Oklahoma City since 1955
- a multi-generational family of Christ followers
- a place where the Bible is read, taught and followed without compromise
- a community that realizes how communities are improved through a solid academic and Christian education
- a place where the priesthood of all believers is taught, encouraged and practiced
- a church that values intimacy with God in prayer
- a community that is grace centered and Gospel-centered in Jesus Christ, our Messiah
We could go on and on. Messiah Lutheran Church was born in 1955, as a new mission to the “far northwest” parts of Oklahoma City. In fact, many of our charter members still attend Messiah faithfully, and our founding Pastor, Fred Schumacher, still worships and serves Messiah as a visitation pastor.
To find out more about Messiah Lutheran Church:
We encourage everyone who is new to Messiah to stick around after our late worship service for a Messiah Mini-Orientation & Tour. Meet in the lobby after worship, and one of our members or staff will give you a brief tour of our facilities, and answer any questions you have about your time at Messiah.
Want to join Messiah Lutheran Church as a member?
Then you are encouraged to watch for next New Member Class which is held 4 times per year. All are welcome to attend and receive first hand information about Messiah, its traditions, customs, functions and beliefs directly from our Senior Pastor, Mark Muenchow.
